ADULT LENTEN DISCUSSION SERIES

After what seemed like a long dry spell, we are finally ready to begin presenting some of the topics and works we think will help all of us at St. Margaret’s grow in the knowledge and love of God.
To start, we have chosen Sam Portaro’s book Dayspring: Meditations for the Weekdays of Advent, Lent and easter as the reference and starting point for discussions for our Lenten classes.  Tuesday evenings during Lent (Feb. 23 through March 30) we will meet in the Parish House at 6:30 p.m. to discuss one of the meditations for the week, not necessarily the one for Tuesday.  If there’s time, we may discuss more than one.
All coming to the class are also invited to to provide food will be passed out at the first class.
Lent is a special time for reflection, prayer and spiritual discipline. We hope this course will assist participants in using avenues for spiritual growth such as the Daily Office in the BCP while providing insights and inspiration drawn from the class discussion.
