CHOIR DIRECTOR POSITION AT ST. MARGARET'S

St. Margaret's Episcopal Church in Belfast, Maine is seeking a Choir Director for its adult choir. The position runs from September through Epiphany and Lent through the Sunday after Pentecost.  The position includes a weekly rehearsal, preparation of a Sunday anthem and hymns, choosing the music in conversation with the Organist and Rector, and participation in the seasonal planning of the liturgy. Other responsibilities by mutual agreement may include: involvement in our contemporary Saturday evening service and pulling together a youth/children's choir. Music has always been an integral part of worship at St. Margaret's, whether it be the Sung Eucharist, the organ to accompany the hymns or offer the Prelude and Postlude



St. Margaret's Adult Choir varies in number from 7 to 14 people or, occasionally more. Discussions are currently being held concerning the formation of a Youth Choir.
